The Princess Switch 3 star Vanessa Hudgens on bed rest following foot injury

Vanessa Hudgens has revealed that she has been forced to rest from filming Netflix film The Princess Switch 3 after she suffered a foot injury.

Yesterday the 32-year-old star who has been filming in and around South Queensferry revealed that she was on strict bed rest instead of filming.

The former Disney actress asked her 40.5 million fans for suggestions of what to watch on her Instagram story before sharing a snap of her hotel’s TV playing witchy classic Hocus Pocus and Funny Girl.

Posting on her Instagram, she said: “So I got a day of forced rest. I hurt my foot.

“Don’t worry I’m fine but I don’t know what to watch?”

The star also posted a photo of her undergoing acupuncture treatment to help with the injury.

Hudgens, who shot to stardom when she took the lead role of Gabriella Montez in Disney’s High School Musical, has been spotted at several locations around the Capital as she films The Princess Switch 3 which is expected to be released towards Christmas this year.

She played two characters in the first film, one a Chicagoan baker and the other a royal Duchess who switched lives.

In the second film a third doppelganger, also played by Hudgens, was introduced.

She has revealed snippets of her in costume and makeup while filming, and it seems likely all three doppelgangers will return in the upcoming film.

Last week, the actress shared videos of her enjoying the winter weather in Scotland, even daring to brave the cold in just a swimsuit and her jacket.
