The UK is a nation of dog lovers and, in a year which has seen many people forced to spend time alone, the company of a four-legged friend has never been more valued

Over the past month, online searches for buying a dog have increased to almost half a million, rising by 22 per cent during the last 12 months, according to data from Parkdean Resorts. Some dog breeds have proved to be more popular than others. Here are the 10 most sought-after dog breeds of 2020, based on online search interest over the last 12 months.
