The pooches are currently in the care of Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home, with many coming from tragic backgrounds. If you are looking to welcome a four-legged friend into your home, the Home will help you find your perfect match. Here are five lovable pups that are currently in need of a forever home.
5. How to rehome
If you have seen a pet on the website you are interested in, you simply need to fill in the online rehoming interest form which will be reviewed by a member of the tram. Photo: Shutterstock
6. A perfect match
If the Home thinks you may be a perfect match for your chosen pet, it will arrange for a member of the rehoming team to call you to fill out an application over the phone. Photo: Shutterstock
7. Interview appointment
If there is a strong chance of a match, you will be invited to make an interview appointment, and if it is a good pairing, you will be introduced to the dog or cat. However, under current restrictions, the Home can no longer accommodate walk-in viewings or applications, with all initial enquiries carried out online. Photo: Shutterstock
8. First come, first served
The policy has a first come, first served policy in regard to rehoming animals, meaning dogs and cats will be rehomed to the first successful applicant. As such, this means the animals may be rehomed before you are offered an interview. Photo: Shutterstock
