The Yannis Philippakis-fronted outfit were originally due to kick off their UK tour in the Capital in spring 2020, but were forced to cancel due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The band rescheduled for April 28 and 29, 2021 – but those dates had to be cancelled too.

Now, Foals have announced their UK tour has been rescheduled to 2022, kicking off with a double-header of dates at the Usher Hall in Edinburgh on April 20 and 21, 2022.

In a post on social media, the band said: “First off, we hope everyone is doing OK – not long now until better times.

“Unfortunately the Covid restrictions in place for the coming months will mean that we can’t go on tour as scheduled.

“However, we are delighted to tell you that we’ve been able to re-schedule the tour to April/May 2022. This definitely feels like a case of third time lucky!”
