Based in Oxfordshire at RAF Brize Norton, the RAF’s largest air base, the C-17 was developed to perform strategic airlifts, and transporting troops.

A statement on the airbase’s twitter account said this latest training exercise was not connected with the RAF’s “support to the UK’s fight against Covid-19.”
