Tom Kitchin's Bruntsfield restaurant closed following 'severe water damage'

Tom Kitchin's bistro in Bruntsfield has been forced to close temporarily after it was flooded by residential flats above it.

Southside Scran, on Bruntsfield Place announced on Twitter today that they would be closed until further notice.

Both Tom and the restaurant tweeted: "We are regrettably closed until further notice due to severe water damage caused by flooding from the residential flats above.

"We apologise to anyone affected and are actively trying to get in touch with all our guests.

"We will keep you posted & let you know when we will re-open."

The restaurant did not provide any further information when contacted.
