Watch and listen as ships in Leith docks mark VE Day by blowing horns

To honour those who sacrificed so much in World War Two and to mark the anniversary of VE Day, the vessels at the Port of Leith sounded their horns at 3pm today.
Leith Docks HQ tweeted yesterday that on top of the sounding of horns, the vessels will shine their searchlights into the skies.

Hide AdThe anniversary of VE Day also saw RAF Typhoon fighter jets fly over Edinburgh, the charities Legion Scotland and Poppy Scotland air an hour long tribute concert at midday on their Facebook pages, and tonight, the Queen will address the United Kingdom, followed by a national sing along of Vera Lynn’s ‘We’ll Meet Again’.
