Watch as low flying military plane passes over Edinburgh and the Lothians

A video captures the moment an RAF plane flew over Fife, Edinburgh and the Lothians.

The Atlas A400M flew from Brize Norton, an RAF station in Oxfordshire, circled around Edinburgh and Fife before heading back down south.

The plane’s call sign is Comet 457.

One local described it as the: “loudest noise we’ve ever heard in the sky.”

The plane flew over the Capital just after 2pm on Friday.

The RAF confirm that the plane was in use during a regular training exercise.
