Watch as water shoots 20ft in the air out of Edinburgh street

Water exploded metres in the air this afternoon on an Edinburgh street after a pipe burst.
An eyewitness told the Evening News bins were being cleaned by Edinburgh Council workers on West Pilton Street, at around 3pm on Thursday, when the pipe burst.

Hide AdVideo footage from the scene show a huge plume of water exploding into the air.
A passing yellow van even got a free wash.
Local man Adrian Smolorz witnessed the incident and filmed the scene on his mobile phone.
He said: “They were cleaning the bins outside the buildings with high pressure water going from under the street tap – and it burst out suddenly.
"They couldn’t manage to close it, and just left.
“The water is still going.”
