But one particularly casual fox appears to be unfazed by human presence during its regular early morning city strolls.

Evening News reporter Conor Matchett captured a video of the animal at about 5:30am on Monday morning as it ambled towards King George V Park, which is located between the New Town and Canonmills.

Conor posted the video on twitter alongside a few words: "This is King George the Canonmills fox who I see every morning I am on early shifts. He is so named due to the nearby park I assume is his kingdom.

"Always polite, he politely gives me a wide berth as he ambles past."

In the video, the fox can be seen walking along the kerb before stopping while a taxi passes. The animal continues on and pauses to look at the camera before swerving around Conor and a parked car and wandering on towards the park.
