A boozy adults-only crazy golf venue which opened its doors in the Biscuit Factory in March is set to reopen with new social distancing measures in place in a bigger and better venue on Friday.
Fore Play is bringing an Edinburgh-themed crazy golf course designed for over-18s, delicious street food and locally supplied drinks to the former Steak restaurant on Picardy Place from Friday 2 October.
Originally planned as a three-month-long pop up at the Biscuit Factory, the course will take up residence in the new city centre location which is spaced over two floors for the next year.
Thrill-seekers visiting the new venue will be able to enjoy two floors full of games and Instagrammable features – including a Fore Play Champs wall, pink golf balls, a stunning mural and a bright pink golf cart .
The new space boasts 9,000 sq ft and can seat up to 126 socially distanced guests throughout the venue.
Taking centre-stage the nine-hole Edinburgh course, named The Wee Bobby Course, features famous Auld Reekie landmarks paying tribute to some of the city centre's most recognisable spots including Greyfriars Bobby statue and the Scott Monument.
Local drinks suppliers such as Pickering’s Gin and Edinburgh Beer Factory will be served up alongside the courses.
New venue features include a bar on each floor, as well as a heated outdoor beer garden which can seat up to 40 people, allowing players to enjoy table service throughout the venue.
Meanwhile Edinburgh’s street food vendors from The Pitt will feed hungry putters with a new food menu that boasts plenty of vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options.
Fore Play will be open every week from Thursday until Sunday and in line with Scottish government restrictions will close at 10pm and bookings can be made from the Fore Play Crazy Golf website.
The last timeslot is at 8:20 pm for package bookings and 8:40 pm for standard golf tickets. Seating is available throughout the venue after the course is completed.
Face coverings must be worn at all times unless seated, eating or drinking.
