The delighted taxi driver overcame a few tense moments to win a life-changing £125,000.

A tough £64,000 moment saw him struggle with the question: “In which of these films does Meryl Streep play a wholly fictional character and not one based on a real person?"

The options were Out of Africa, The Hours, The Post and Suffragette.

Both Ray and host, Jeremy Clarkson stumbled over this question, which saw Ray misread it to his phone a friend, and then Jeremy suggest the wrong answer for the wrong reason.

Fortunately, Ray scraped through answering ‘The Hours’ correctly.

Ray decided to walk away with the money after facing the question: “Which country shares the longest land border with Germany?’
