A Perfect Weekend

Christina Conklin, 27, from the Old Town, is the community relations and volunteer recruitment manager for the Rock ‘n’ Roll Edinburgh Half Marathon.

1 Who would be your ideal weekend companion and why? It would be my fiance, Tony, we’re both adventurous types and have a lot of fun going out and seizing the weekend.

2 Where would you take him in Edinburgh and why? We would start off by going for a run in the morning, in a part of the city we haven’t explored much of yet. I’m a believer in that the best way to see a city is by running around with no set route in mind.

3 Where would you go for breakfast, lunch and dinner? We’d grab a morning coffee and breakfast at Spoon in Nicolson Street. Lunch would be at the most delicious Indian restaurant around the corner from our flat, In Dehli. We’d end the night having dinner and cocktails at Under The Stairs, I love the cozy atmosphere there.

4 What item would you not be without? My camera! There are so many beautiful photo opportunities across the city.

5 How would your perfect weekend finish? Pub trivia night with friends at The Blind Poet. We never win but we always have a great time!
