Police hunt ‘gaunt’ raiders who stole shop’s Poppy tin

Police are appealing for information following the theft of a poppy tin.

The incident happened at around 11.25am on Tuesday, November 6, at the Co-op store on Clayknowes Drive, Musselburgh. Two men came into the shop and stole the tin, before making off.

The first is described as white, in his mid to late 20s, around 5ft 7in tall and of a thin build. He had pale skin and dark eyes, and spoke with a local accent. At the time of the incident he was wearing a Burberry baseball cap, black parka jacket and jeans.

The second suspect is described as being a white man in his early 20s, around 5ft 5in and of thin build. A

t the time of the incident he was wearing light blue tracksuit bottoms, a green padded bodywarmer with a patterned knitted jumper beneath, and a green fur lined trapper-style hat.

Both men are described as having a gaunt appearance.
