Police hunt man after ‘public indecency’ on bus

Police have released CCTV pictures of a man they are hunting after an alleged public indecency onboard a Lothian Bus.

Police in Edinburgh have released CCTV images of a man they wish to trace in connection with a public indecency investigation.

The incident happened around 4.35pm on board a Lothian Bus, which travelled between Moredun and Clerk Street on 22 May 2015.

The man pictured in the images, taken from CCTV footage on the bus, is of interest to the ongoing police enquiry and anyone who can assist in establishing his identity is asked to come forward.

He is described as white, between 20 and 30-years-old with a medium/stocky build and short brown hair. He was wearing black joggers, black trainers, a grey t-shirt with white on the sleeves and a large logo or design on the front, a blue body warmer with grey lining and a tattoo on the left forearm.

Detective Constable Jennifer Murray said: “This was a very distressing incident for the young woman who witnessed it and anyone who recognises the man pictured within the CCTV footage is asked to contact police or Crimestoppers immediately.”
