Police identify woman who was recovered from River Forth last week

Lothian and Borders Police have thanked members of the public in their efforts to help identify a woman who was recovered from the River Forth.

After a six-day long appeal, which involved the police releasing images of unique jewellery that the young woman was wearing and details of a tattoo, the woman has now been identified as as 30-year-old Veronica Frincu.

Police advised that her family have been informed of the death and that there were no apparent suspicious circumstances and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

Her body was recovered from the River Forth, off Society Road, west of South Queensferry last Saturday.
