Police issue warning after a patient in Edinburgh loses ‘very dangerous’ medication
Police Scotland have issued a warning to the public after a quantity of prescribed medication has been reported lost somewhere between the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh and Aberlady, East Lothian.
The lost medication includes a 250ml bottle of Oramorph, which is a form of liquid morphine, and a Fentanyl patch, an opioid used as a pain medication as well as recreationally.
Both items have been described by medical professionals as “very dangerous” to people who have not been prescribed them for medical reasons.
