Police seize robbery haul

POLICE have arrested 43 people and recovered more than £30,000 of stolen property during an operation targeting serial housebreakers.

Operation Fresco, which ran throughout last month in West Lothian, also saw a dedicated team of officers seize £22,700 of cash under the Proceeds of Crime Act.

Detective Inspector John Wyllie, who led the operation, said: “The results of this operation are very positive, with the overall number of incidents significantly reduced compared to last year, and the number of crimes solved increasing.”
