Police step up patrols

EXTRA police patrols are being carried out in the Dumbiedykes area following complaints from residents about antisocial behaviour among youths.

Officers from the St Leonard’s safer neighbourhood team are undertaking patrols in troublespots at key times, with support from officers on bikes and council environmental wardens.

Pc Stevie Cairns, who covers the Dumbiedykes area, said: “We have listed to the concerns of local residents and we hope that this initiative will reassure them and hopefully stamp out the bad behaviour.”
