The BBC is recruiting audience members for its televised SNP leadership debate to be held in Edinburgh next week. The programme on Tuesday March 14, will take the form of a Debate Night: Leadership Special presented by Stephen Jardine and featuring all three of the contenders to succeed Nicola Sturgeon as SNP leader and First Minister – Kate Forbes, Ash Regan and Humza Yousaf.
It is the only televised debate taking place with an audience and anyone wanting to apply can still do so this weekend. Some members of the audience will get the chance to put their questions to the candidates. The BBC says it wants people from all walks of life – parents, carers, students, people who run a business, frontline workers, retired people, those who are self-employed, unemployed or just starting out in the workplace.
