“Alok Sharma has literally just gone on the BBC, and unchallenged, has just claimed that 240,000 people got tested on Monday,” Morgan said.
“That is a bare-faced lie - which I would say to his face, if we weren’t still subject to the 57-day government boycott,” he added.
No member of the government has appeared on ITV’s Good Morning Britain since April 28.

Mr Morgan’s co-host, Susanna Reid, added: “Well unless he has proof that 240,000 people got tested - because then he would have the data that the Health Secretary Matt Hancock doesn’t have.”
The UK government has faced repeated criticism for the accuracy of its testing figures, which count tests sent in the post as tests completed.
“That is the bogus figure of tests they claim that they’ve done,” Morgan said of the 240,000 figure, “It has nothing to do with the number of people being tested.

Morgan blasted Sharma: “He’s either stupid or a liar. Which one is it?”
“And why does it matter? Because testing is the absolutely crucial way out of this. Until we have a vaccine, it’s probably the only way out of it.
“The system isn’t working. The whole thing is a farce,” he finished.
