Protest over homes plan

Rosie Barnes from the Friends of Craighouse Grounds and Woods was leading a protest near Napier University campus yesterday, against plans to build a car park and houses on the site.

Hundreds of people have joined a campaign against the plans to develop the beauty spot, saying it would be like “sticking a supermarket on the Castle Esplanade”.

The proposal would see up to 200 homes built.
