Pupil serves up success

A ROYAL High School and Edinburgh Sports Academy pupil has won three top junior Scottish badminton titles.

Julie MacPherson picked up the titles at the Scottish National Junior Championships and her medal haul includes success in the under fifteen ladies singles, the under fifteen ladies doubles and the under fifteen mixed doubles.

Julie attends the Edinburgh Sports Academy, which is run by the city council and is a training and support programme designed to assist talented pupils. The programme is intended to be a stepping stone to further achievements.
