Pupils try the green scene

AROUND 400 pupils from Edinburgh and East Lothian are set to attend a series of environmental workshops run by the National Trust for Scotland.

Dubbed Green Scene, the two-day event at Newhailes Estate near Musselburgh is being repeated after receiving positive feedback from last year’s event.

The activities, which take place today and tomorrow, include following mini-beasts, exploring woodlands, understanding landscape, learning about archaeology and waste recycling.
