Musselburgh Racecourse has lent its support to the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal.

The East Lothian racecourse will among 11 across the UK to feature poppies on the front of racecards.

Charles Byrne, director of fundraising at the Royal British Legion, said: “We’re extremely grateful to racecourses for their support during the 2012 Poppy Appeal. This year we need to raise £42 million to enable us to carry out our vital work for the Armed Forces and their families. This wonderful support in the final week of the Poppy Appeal is important.”
