Racist abuses woman at supermarket

Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was racially abused in West Lothian.

The incident happened around 7.30pm on Friday at the Tesco supermarket in Bathgate.

The 25-year-old victim, of Pakistani origin, was in the car park when a man began shouting racist comments towards her. As she entered the store, the man followed her inside and continued to racially abuse her before being asked to leave the premises by staff.

The suspect is described as white, 6ft tall with short light-brown hair and was wearing jeans and a grey T-shirt. Two young children were with the man at the time. Anyone with any information can contact Lothian and Borders Police on 0131-311 3131.
