Reduced speed limit agreed near primary

A 20MPH speed limit is to be introduced on a Bathgate road next year after concerns were raised about the safety of local children crossing the road.

West Lothian Council’s Executive Committee agreed to implement proposals to reduce the speed limit in Menzies Road, which runs between Glasgow Road and Whitburn Road.

The road provides access to both St Mary’s Primary School and Bathgate Early Years Centre.
