Remember When: Edinburgh penguins on the march

EDINBURGH Zoo has had penguins on show since January 1913, when three king penguins took up residence.

Penguins take in the sights outside their home in the zoo in Corstorphine Road, as a tram trundles by in 1952.

These days the zoo’s ‘Penguins Rock’ habitat houses colonies of gentoo, king and rockhopper penguins.
