Rental website signs up for cricket deal

A WEBSITE that advertises rental properties available in Edinburgh has secured a new five-figure sponsorship deal with the Scottish national cricket team.

Citylets has agreed to extend its existing sponsorship deal with Cricket Scotland, which includes naming rights to Scotland’s home grounds, including The Grange.

The rental portal will continue its sponsorship until the end of 2012.

Thomas Ashdown, founder and managing director of Citylets, said: “We recently renewed our biggest sponsorship commitment with the Scotland cricket team, which will see Citylets continue to hold the naming rights to their home grounds until the end of 2012.

“It is a deal that will give us great exposure in a sport that is increasing in popularity north of the Border.”

The firm also consolidated its position as the UK’s most visited residential lettings website for a sixth month in a row, according to data from online intelligence firm Experian Hitwise.

Mr Ashdown said: “We are delighted.”
