Resident sends hilarious tweet after Edinburgh Castle '˜goes missing'

You may not have noticed, but it's a bit misty out there...

Ali Payne tweeted that the Castle had been stolen by the mist

However, one social media users has brigtened everyone’s day with a hilarious tweet searching for the ‘missing’ Edinburgh Castle.

Ali Payne tweeted: “Be careful out there...Someone stole @edinburghcastle”

Historic Scotland replied to Ali saying: “If any of you have information on the culprit, let us know!”

When asked if we could share the post, true to form, Ali said: “Happy for you to use them. Anything that can help with the safe return of the Castle”

At least we can rely on the people of Edinburgh to brighten such a dull day.
