School wins playground

Pupils are celebrating after their school won a new playground in a national competition.

Murrayburn Primary got the £30,000 facility after it received more “likes” than other schools which entered the Facebook contest.

Youngsters Chris Spence, Abbi Howard, Jack Swan, Robert Orr and Callum Hanley have been making the most of the fully equipped playground.

Carol Swan, chairperson of Murrayburn’s parent council, said: “Everyone worked so hard to gain as many votes as we could to make sure Murrayburn was the winning school.”
