Science Festival: Talk to a '˜live' robot
CHILDREN are being given the chance to communicate with a 'live' robot at this year's Edinburgh International Science Festival.
Uncanny Valley, which is aimed at those aged between eight and 12, tells the story of OKAY – a friendly robot at risk of being terminated.
As well as watching how OKAY develops, youngsters who see the performance at Summerhall will be able to ask the actors questions.
Also appearing as part of the festival, musician Dame Evelyn Glennie had fun at the National Museum of Scotland, where she played a huge xylophone and pipes. And Irish comedian Dara O’Briain, on a visit to Edinburgh with his family, enjoyed shows at Dynamic Earth and the City Arts Centre.
The Science Festival runs at various venues until April 10. More info available at http://www.sciencefestival.co.uk/
