Scotrail: No trains after 7pm

Scotrail are to start running a small number of services on limited routes but have warned commuters that no trains will leave after 7pm.

A test will also be carried out on Friday to ensure safety on the lines.

As a result there will be no services in areas affected by the snow for peak rush hour.

A limited service is operating on the following routes:

Glasgow Queen Street to Edinburgh via Falkirk High

Calling at: Bishopbriggs, Lenzie, Croy, Falkirk High, Polmont, Linlithgow, Edinburgh Park and Haymarket

These will depart Glasgow on the hour and half hour, and will depart Edinburgh at 15 and 45 minutes past the hour

Aberdeen to Inverness

Aberdeen to Dundee

Inverness to Kyle of Lochalsh

Inverness to Perth
