Six people rescued from water near Cramond Island
Rescue teams were dispatched around 4pm today (Sunday).
The six people were pulled from the walkway with two more rescued from the island in the Firth of Forth after becoming stranded by a change in the tide.
Lifeboats from South Queensferry and Kinghorn were dispatched to the scene along with the Coastguard.

Hide AdA spokesman for HM Coastguard said: “We were alered to six people who were waist deep in water on the walkway and two on the island.
"Kinghorn and South Queensferry lifeboats were sent and everyone has been taken ashore to be met by the Coastguard teams.”
In April, a group of people were fined for flouting lockdown measures after they had to be rescued from the island by emergency services.
