‘Stolen’ car jams traffic after being abandoned
A suspected stolen car caused traffic hold-ups after it was abandoned on a busy city road this morning.
The black Vauxhall Corsa was left on a bend on Craigmillar Castle Road near Edinburgh Royal Infirmary, blocking the lane.
Police were called to the scene at around 8.20am and the vehicle was uplifted at 10.20am.
A spokesman said inquiries were ongoing, however the car was suspected to have been stolen.
He said officers had managed to trace the registered keeper of the vehicle.
