Student snaps up award nod

AN aspiring city snapper has been shortlisted for a prestigious national photography award and will see his work showcased at a London gallery.

Thomas Mountney, 23, who is studying for a BA in Professional Photography at Stevenson College has been selected as a finalist in the Association of Photographers Student Awards. He will now see his work put on display at the Hoxton Gallery in Shoreditch.

His shortlisted image features a still life triptych of retro cameras which Thomas shot separately then spliced on to different backgrounds.
