Students pick best teachers

STUDENTS have nominated their top teachers at Edinburgh University for a series of awards.

The shortlists have been drawn up for the Edinburgh University Students’ Association Teaching Awards 2012, with candidates selected from more than 4000 nominations.

EUSA’s vice president of academic affairs, Mike Williamson, said: “The standard of nominations this year was fantastic and it was great to see teaching support staff nominated this year for the first time.

“The comments really show the impact that great teaching has on students and why teaching should be rewarded, recognised and incentivised more by the university.”
