‘Supersonic’ Christmas event taking off at flight museum

The National Museum of Flight is putting on a “Supersonic” Christmas event for youngsters.

Children at the festive weekend will be invited to tell Santa their Christmas wishes in the shadow of a Concorde, board a Boeing 707 to share their Christmas list, take part in festive craft sessions and see the rest of the museum’s amazing exhibits.

The weekend will be held at the East Fortune museum on Saturday, December 17 and Sunday, December 18 from midday to 4pm.

Also being held at the East Lothian attraction is a series of Christmas “crafternoons”.

The free events, aimed at young and old, will show participants how to add a personal touch to their gifts with wrapping paper and decorations.

The drop-in sessions will be held on December 4, December 11 and December 18 from 12.30pm to 4.30pm.
