TA recruits cab company

A TAXI firm will show its support for the armed forces today in an advertising campaign.

Two City Cabs taxis will be branded to promote a recruitment drive for the Territorial Army.

George Aird, chairman of City Cabs, said: “The TA provides a vital role of support for our country’s armed forces.

“Many of our own drivers have served in the Army and some are active members of the Reserves. We encourage anyone who is thinking of joining the armed forces to get more information from their local recruitment office.”

Territorial Army recruits work as soldiers in their spare time, often holding regular civilian jobs while they are not on duty.
