Teapot Trust gig set for top UK blues band

ONE of the UK’s top blues bands are to headline a charity music day in the Capital next month.

The Jam and Jar, which raises money for the local Teapot Trust organisation, will take place on December 2 at the Voodoo Rooms.

And organisers have announced the band Blues In Trouble will front the event, which also features a range of local musicians.

Tickets for the event are still available, with all proceeds going to the charity which funds art and play therapists at the Sick Kids hospital.

Organiser Norval Barclay said: “It’s a major coup for the Jam and Jar to get such high profile musicians to feature. They could sell out a venue in their own right, so securing them for this is massive for the event.

“It also means tickets will be in even thinner supply, so those wanting to attend will have to move fast. Even if people can’t come, we are still seeking auction prizes to ensure we can get as much cash as possible for the Teapot Trust.”

• Tickets are available from the Raeburn Bar, Dean Street, Stockbridge, or by e-mailing [email protected].
