Tesco to close home stores

THE FURNISHING arm of supermarket giant Tesco is close to closing down, reports said today.

The Home Plus chain, which has one store in the Capital, has produced poor levels of sales across the UK in the past year, experts said.

It would see Tesco, which has almost 3000 stores nationwide, refocusing on its core grocery business. It was reported this morning that bosses were keen to exit from leases it holds on all 13 UK Home Plus stores.
