Up against stiff competition, Dougie Hill, director of Heatsource Plumbing and Heating, was chosen by a panel of industry experts to receive the Scottish crown.

Dougie said: “It feels fantastic to be awarded the Scottish Heating Installer of the Year award, and great to be recognised for some of the work we have done over the past 12 months.

“When we entered, we knew the job we were putting forward had a chance as it is a very good install. However, we also knew we would be up against stiff competition. We’re looking forward to finding out the national results.”

Judge Chris Ingram from Continental Underfloor, the company which established the awards, said: “Dougie’s entry simply wowed us and showed an edge compared to other entries from the region. I wish Dougie and Heatsource Plumbing and Heating every success for the future, and thank them for setting such a high standard in the industry. I hope to see even more entries from great heating installers in Scotland when we launch the 2017 awards later this year.”

All 11 regional winners will be put forward for the UK title, which will be announced following an online public vote.
