Three people escape from blazing M8 car fire

THREE people have managed to escape unscathed from a car engulfed in flames on the M8 motorway.

The incident took place on the eastbound lane close to Salsburgh, North Lanarkshire, late on Sunday morning.

Police arrived at the scene after being alerted to the blaze.

All three people managed to escape the car in time and no-one has been injured.
