TOFS host support session

Parents of children with a rare condition which leaves them unable to swallow have gathered at a support meeting at Sciennes Primary School.

Almost 50 people offered support and advice on the condition tracheo-oesophageal fistula (TOF). The session was held by nationwide charity TOFS, and organised by Bruce and Freya Rennie, whose three-year-old son Christopher has the condition which affects around one in 3500 births in the UK.

The charity plans to host a conference in September on the problems faced by adults with TOF, and a nationwide awareness week begins on April 22.

Fundraising packs are available on 0115-961 3092 or by e-mailing [email protected].
