Top acts to head for the Big Stooshie

A HOST of top acts have been announced for the upcoming Big Stooshie Scotland’s Charity Music Festival.

The event at the Howe Country Centre in Giffordtown, Fife, on May 4-6 aims to raise more than £100,000 for Help for Heroes and SSAFA Forces Help, who have pledged to donate funds to the Personnel Recovery Centre in Edinburgh.

Confirmed so far are James, Glasvegas, Simon and Oscar from Ocean Colour Scene Unplugged, The Hoosiers, The Damned, From The Jam, The Beat, The Boomtown Rats and many more acts.

Lieutenant Colonel Mark Steed, commanding officer 51 (Scottish) Brigade Personnel Recovery Unit, said: “I’m delighted to hear that the Big Stooshie is this year raising monies for Help for Heroes and SSAFA Forces Help.

“I am also delighted that Help for Heroes will be directing monies raised towards the Personnel Recovery Centre, which plays an important part in the delivery of recovery activities for wounded, injured and sick personnel.”
