A1 crash: Police on scene as busy dual carriageway shut near Dunbar
Emergency services are on the scene as motorists are advised that delays are likely
The A1 is closed in both directions near Dunbar following a crash on the busy dual carriageway.
Emergency services are reportedly at the scene of the crash which has left a large stretch of the road closed between the Spott Roundabout and Innerwick.
It is unclear if anyone was seriously injured in the incident, reports of which emerged at 7.05pm.
Motorists are being advised by Traffic Scotland to take alternative routes to bypass the crash and are being warned that delays are likely.
Traffic Scotland previously announced that the road was only closed southbound but has since provided an update stating that it is closed in both directions.
Police Scotland have been contacted for more information.
The diversions will be in place until further notice.
