Edinburgh roadworks: scheduled road closures, temporary traffic lights and diversions

This is everything you need to know about Edinburgh’s planned roadworks this week.

This is a comprehensive list of road closures due to start from Monday 17 June until Sunday 23 June according to the City of Edinburgh Council website available here.

Road closed for Scottish Power cable jointing from 9am on Monday until 4pm on Friday.
Wolrige Road and Hawkhead Crescent closed due to gas main renewal, 2-way temporary traffic lights, starting 9:30am on Monday till 6pm on July 1.
Between Granton Square and Wardie Square, two way temporary traffic lights due to cabling works, starting 9:30am on Monday until 5pm on Friday.

Two way temporary traffic lights at Rennie's Isle for Ground investigation works for Edinburgh trams extension. Starts 9:30am on Monday until 6pm Thursday.
Cable work via carriageway manholes. Four way temporary traffic lights 9pm - 6am each night.
Lanes between Pilrig street and Iona street closed due to ground investigation works for Edinburgh trams extension. Starts 9:30am on Wednesday until 5pm Thursday.
Citybound lane closed at the Festival Theatre for the opening night event of the Edinburgh International Film Festival. From 12pm until 8pm.
Road closures for the Royal Highland Show. Ingliston Road closed Northbound, Hallyards Road closed, Lochend Road closed northbound in the morning and southbound in the afternoon. Starts 7am on Thursday until midnight on Sunday.
Narrow lanes at Jameson place due to ground investigation works for tram extension. Begins 9:30am on Friday until 5pm on 25 June.
Four way temporary traffic lights at Tower Place roundabout for ground investigation works for tram extension. Starts 9:30am on Friday until 5pm next Monday.
Four way temporary traffic lights due to Scottish Water capping an abandoned main. Begins 9am on Saturday until 4pm on Sunday.
Horse Wynd, Holyrood Gait, Queen's Drive and Duke's Walk at Queen's Park Avenue are closed for the Cancer Research Race for Life. Begins at 4am until 4pm.
Raeburn Place / Deanhaugh Street closed between Portgower Place and Leslie Place for a local event. Begins 10am on Sunday until 6:30pm.
