Motorcyclist rushed to hospital following collision

A motorcyclist has been rushed to hospital following a collision with a car during rush hour in the Capital this morning.

The male driver of a BMW bike sustained a pelvic injury as a result of the collision.

A police spokesperson said: “Police in Edinburgh responded to Davidsons Mains at around 7.50 a.m. on Friday 18th November following a collision between a BMW motorcycle and Nissan Micra car.

“The incident took place at the roundabout in Quality Street and resulted in the male motorcyclist sustaining a pelvic injury.

“He was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment.

“Inquiries are ongoing into the full circumstances surrounding this collision and anyone with information is asked to come forward.”
