Traffic and travel: Temporary traffic lights cause morning misery for Edinburgh commuters

A raft of incidents is causing heavy traffic congestion for commuters across the city this morning during rush hour.

Congestion is being felt on the A90 Queensferry Road, with traffic slow westbound from Parkgrove and slow citybound from Dalmeny.

Elsewhere, there has been issues with temporary traffic lights.

Delays have been witnessed at Lasswade Road due to temporary lights stuck on red at Lang Loan, with heavy queues seen between Gilmerton Station Road and Gilmerton Dykes Street.

A similar issue is causing heavy traffic at Stockbridge. Queues are particularly heavy on Comely Bank Road, Orchard Brae and Crewe Road due to temporary lights stuck on red at East Fettes Avenue.

Meanwhile, Duddingston Park South was partially blocked due to an incident before Milton Road West. Emergency services were in attendance as of around 8am this morning. The incident is now declared as clear, though traffic may take some time to ease up.
