Trains between Edinburgh and Glasgow delayed due to 'defective track'


Peak service commuter trains are experiencing delays this morning due to "defective track".
Delays of up to five minutes are in place for services leaving Edinburgh for Glasgow traveling via Falkirk High, Cumbernauld and Dunblane.

Hide AdScotRail said the defective track is situated between Edinburgh Park and Linlithgow and disruption is expected to last until around 9am this morning.
ScotRail said: "Because of a speed restriction over defective track between Edinburgh Park and Linlithgow the line towards Glasgow is disrupted. Disruption is expected to last until around 9am today.
"Train services between Edinburgh and Glasgow Queen Street via Falkirk High may be delayed by up to 5 minutes."
